Chinese New Year Inspired Maths Area

We have two¬†different challenges in the Maths area…

Pick up pom-poms with the tweezers & place one in each space in the egg tray – a further challenge is to create a repeating pattern.

The other activity is to thread beads onto the Chinese dragon tails – a sand timer has been added in to this, so that they can see how many beads they can thread before the sand runs through. Again, some choose to take up the challenge of creating a repeated pattern…

    • Thanks, Marie!
These particular dragon images were from a damaged book which was going to be thrown away, but you could always search for some on the internet, to use in your classroom (“,)
