I love stones and rocks and we use them a lot in school. I saw an image of some gorgeous fish stones made by coucou c’est granny and was inspired to make my own. They are nowhere near as good, but they’ll do! I wrote numbers on the back of all of them too, so that I can also use them in maths activities if I wish to.
My front garden is pretty much covered in stones/pebbles (don’t look at the weeds!!), so I have a good source of them…
I just used a black Sharpie pen to make these…
A couple of years ago I was given these acrylic pens as a gift, but I’d never used them up until this point.
They were great for making colourful fish!
We only started using them on the last day of term (I got them out when some of the children were talking about their forthcoming holidays), & so far they have just been used for pattern and number work…
Number Recognition & Counting
I’ll let you know if they are used for anything else!
Back to school for me on Monday. See you next week! 😉
Thanks for reading!
Would love you to come & say hello! 🙂
