Autumnal Play and Learning

Autumnal Play and Learning

I love the beauty of autumnal days, when the leaves are changing colour and falling. The grey days are coming in fast so we’ve been making the most of the gorgeous-ness while we can! Here are some of the things we’ve been up to…

Showcasing Autumn Leaves

The children have been bringing in lots of leaves and so we have put some of them in this little light box (from Ikea). The light highlights their beauty, although it’s difficult to capture in a photo…

The Gruffalo

I set up a similar small world area a few years ago (you can see it here), and couldn’t resist re-making the Gruffalo’s ‘forest’ to go along with their play over the last couple of weeks. They have loved it! So much fabulous story telling…

    • Thanks, Lisa!
I actually found mine at a car boot sale (very lucky find!), but it’s a Hobbycraft tree (not sure where you’re based, Hobbycraft is in the UK). Every so often, they have a discount on them.
